The party theme was one of my dearest childhood books growing up, “where the wild things are”. I new from the early stages of planning luke’s first birthday/cake smash that it had to be a “wild one” theme inspired from the book “where the wild things are” by maurice sendak. It has a layer of chocolate cake, sandwiching chocolate buttercream, salted caramel buttercream, and salted caramel filling. When your bff asks you to help create a “where the wild things are” 1st birthday party for her little guy you of course say yes!!
